Ian was classically trained at the Birmingham Conservatoire
where he graduated with a B.A. (Hons) Music Degree. Since
leaving the Conservatoire, Ian worked as a professional trumpet
player, performing with many of the regions leading orchestras
and frequently playing as a theatre musician in many shows
throughout the country including London’s West End. On the
lighter side, Ian has played with a wide variety of big, dance, and
jazz bands, and has also worked for Royal Caribbean
International backing such stars as the Platters, Davy Jones of
the Monkeys and Frankie Avalon.
